Aina crossed her legs and made a big bubble balloon. She was nodding her head like a drunkard to a song with her hands-free headphones in her ears. عینا نے ہما بیگم کی بات سن کر عاریز کو گھورا ۔
" ملکا دی کڑی انٹر پاس کرلے اے ہو نہیں سکدا " فورا اداکاری کے جوہر دکھائے ۔ ہما بیگم کا ہاتھ پڑتے ہی اس کی ساری اداکاری نکل گئی تھی۔

" شرم کرلے ایف ایس سی میں تیسری بار بھی پاس نہ ہوئی تو ملک خاندان کی عزت کا تو نہیں پتا لیکن تیری نالائقی کا ضرور پتا لگ جائے گا ۔ " عاریز نے لقمہ دیا ۔
" مینڈک کہی کہ تم نے اگر انگریزوں کی غلامی قبول کرلی ہے تو تم یہی چاہتے میں بھی غلام بن جاؤ " وہ فورا آگے بڑھی اسے مارنے کو شکر تھا کہ ہما بیگم نے عاریز کو گنجا ہونے سے بچا لیا۔
" ویسے بھی میں اس سال بالکل فیل نہیں ہونگیں ۔ "
اس کی بات سن کر ہما بیگم بھی کچھ پل کے لیے رک گئیں۔
" بھلا وہ کیسے ؟"
" میں نے دادا کو کہہ دیا ہے وہ مس شفقت کو پیسے دے دیں ۔ بھلا ملکاں دی کڑی آے کوئی مذاق تھوڑی "
" ہاں مذاق تو انگریزوں نے کیا تھا ۔ انھیں تھوڑی پتا تھا کہ پاکستان نے بدلہ لینے کے لیے یہاں انگریزی زبان شروع کردینی اور تم جیسوں نے اس کی ماں بہن ایک کردینی ہے ۔ "
ہما بیگم نفی میں سر ہلاتی وہاں سے چلیں گئیں ۔
