"جلدی اٹھا کرو ساریہ... تمہیں پتہ بھی ہے کہ ہم دونوں نے ڈیوٹی پہ جانا ہوتا ہے,  صبح ذرا جلدی اٹھ کہ کام نمٹا لیا کرو اس کے بعد پورا دن سونا ہی ہوتا ہے تم نے, تھوڑی سی ذمہ داری پکڑ لو یار... دو بچوں کی ماں بن گئی ہو, انشرہ کا تو تمہیں پتہ ہی ہے سارا دن ہسپتال ہوتی ہے,  مروہ بھی تمہاری ذمہ داری ہی ہے,  دیکھو ذرا ایک نظر... پورا گھر کوڑے کا ڈھیر بنایا ہوا ہے تم نے,  خدا جانے تم سارا دن کرتی کیا رہتی ہو ؟ " سہام اس کی ساری اگلی پچھلی اکارت کر رہا تھا, ساریہ نے ایک نظر اسے دیکھا

وہ دونوں ہاسپٹل جانے کے لیے بالکل تیار تھے,  سہام نے گاڑی کی چابی اٹھائی تھی

"چلو جلدی... " وہ انشرہ کو اشارہ کرتے ہوئے باہر کی طرف بڑھا

ساریہ کو لگا جیسے ابھی پورا گھر اس کے سر پر آ گرے گا,  مسلسل روتے ہوئے تین بچے, گندا مندا کچن, ہر طرف پھیلاوا, میلے کپڑوں کا ڈھیر...اور پچھلے چار دنوں سے شدید دکھتا ہوا بدن

اس کی ایک دم بس ہوئی تھی... پچھلے پانچ سالوں کا ایک ایک دن اس پر قہقہے لگا رہا تھا 

"سہام... " پوری ہمت جمع کر کہ اس نے سہام کو آواز دی تھی,  وہ ایک دم رکا, انشرہ بھی رک گئی تھی, وہ دو قدم آگے بڑھی,  ڈیڑھ سالہ مروہ کو انشرہ کی گود میں دیا,  منسا کو سہام کی گود میں چڑھایا اور ماہر کو بازو سے پکڑ کر اس کی جانب دھکیل دیا

"میں امی کے گھر جا رہی ہوں... آپ یہاں کسی ذمہ دار کو لے آئیں"دوپٹہ سر پر اوڑھ کر اس نے پاؤں میں سلپرز ڈالتے ہوئے دھیرے سے کہا اور باہر نکل گئی, سہام اور انشرہ حیران پریشان کھڑے رہ گئے تھے

"ساریہ... رکو تو... کیا ہوا ؟" ایک دم ہوش آنے پر وہ دروازے کی طرف بھاگا لیکن ساریہ سنی ان سنی کرتے ہوئے باہر نکلتی چلی گئی,  انشرہ نے ایک نظر اپنی گود میں پڑی مروہ کو دیکھا... پھر سارے گھر کو اور پھر گھڑی کو... جو پورے آٹھ بجا رہی تھی
