غصے سے پیپرز ٹیبل پر پٹکتے وہ بپرے شیر کی مانند   جھٹکے سے اٹھتے اس کی طرف لپکا اور امامہ کو سنبھلنے کا موقع دئیے بغیر پکڑ کر صوفے پر پٹکتے اس کے اطراف میں ہاتھ رکھتے جھکا 

کیا بکواس کی تم نے پھر سے کہو  ؟ مکرم نے اس کے قریب ہوتے غصے سے غراتے کہا تو اس کے غصے کو دیکھ کر  امامہ کا چہرہ سفید پڑ گیا 

شش شاہ ۔۔۔۔۔ م میں آپ ۔۔۔ ک کے ساتھ نہیں رہنا ۔چاہ۔۔ امامہ نے کپکپاتے لہجے میں کہنا چاہا تو مکرم کے سر پر لگی تلوں پر بجھی  ۔۔۔۔ اسکی بات مکرم کو تیش دلا گئی

تمہاری ہمت کیسے ہوئی یہ بکواس کرنے کی بولو ۔۔۔۔ 

اب تمہارے منہ سے یہ لفظ نکلا تو جان لے لوں گا میں تمہاری ۔۔۔۔

 مجھ سے دور جانے کا سوچا بھی تو اپنے ساتھ ساتھ تمہیں بھی فنا کردوں گا ۔۔۔۔  غصے سے اس کے جبڑے کو دبوچتے مکرم اس کے چہرے پر غرایا 

 اس کی  تپتی سانسیں ، آنکھوں سے پھوٹتی چنگاریاں امامہ کو جلا کر خاکستر کردینے کے در پر تھیں 

 اس کو اتنے غصے میں دیکھ کر امامہ کا دل سوکھے پتے کی مانند لرزنے لگا تکلیف سے آنکھوں سے بل بل آنسو بہنے لگے

اور اس کے آنسو  ہی واحد ایسا ہتھیار تھے جو مکرم شاہ کو اس کے غصے کو مات دے سکتے تھے۔۔۔۔  جنہیں دیکھ کر اس کا غصہ جھاگ کی طرح بیٹھ گیا تھا لیکن دل اضطرابی کیفیت میں مبتلا تھا ایک وحشت سی تھی جو دل پر  طاری تھی 

امامہ نے ایسا سوچا بھی کیسے ۔۔۔ کیا وہ اتنی بے وقوف ، نادان یا چھوٹی بچی تھی کہ مکرم کے دل میں اس کی آنکھوں میں اپنے لئے محبت نہ دیکھ سکی

 ایسا ہوسکتا تھا کہ وہ اس کے جزبات سے اس کے عشق و جنوں سے واقف نہ ہو  

 ہو ہی نہیں سکتا ۔۔۔ 

 اللّٰہ تعالیٰ نے عورت کو ایسی صلاحیت سے نوازا ہے کہ وہ اپنی طرف اٹھتی نظروں کو پہچان جاتی ہے ۔۔۔۔سامنے والا اسے کس نگاہ سے کس نیت سے دیکھ رہا ہے اس کی چھٹی حس بہت تیز ہوتی ہے 

اور اتنے دن مکرم کے ساتھ رہتے وہ اس کی محبت سے غافل رہے ایسا ممکن نہیں تھا

 تو پھر کیا وجہ تھی جو اس نے اتنی بڑی بات کہہ دی ۔۔۔  یہ بات اسے کھٹک رہی تھی 

 

 مکرم نے شدت سے جھکتے اپنے ہونٹوں سے اس کے آنسوؤں کو قیمتی موتیوں کی مانند چُنا 

اس کی بیرڈ اور مونچھوں کی چبھن اپنے گال پر  محسوس کرتے امامہ کے وجود میں پھیریری سی دوڑ گئی اس کے لمس میں نرمی کا عنصر نہیں تھا بلکہ  شدت تھی 

وہ جو اسکی محبت کی عادی تھی اتنی سختی پر کوئی راہِ فرار نہ ملتے دیکھ بے بسی سے  پھوٹ پھوٹ کر روتے اپنی پیشانی اس کے سینے سے لگادی 

 اسکی سسکیوں کی آواز پر مکرم نے اسے دیکھتے گہرا سانس بھرتے خود میں بھینچا 

'ششش رونا بند کرو "۔۔۔ 

میں جانتا ہوں یہ الفاظ تمہارے نہیں ہیں ۔۔

تم جو میرے سنانے بات کرتے بکری بن جاتی تھی ۔۔۔۔ اتنی بڑی بات کہی دی بنا ہچکچائے 

 جس کسی نے بھی تمہیں یہ سب کرنے پر اکسایا ہے نہ میں اسے چھوڑوں گا نہیں 

اب مجھے سچ سچ بتاو ۔۔۔

 کس کے کہنے پر تم نے یہ سب کہا ؟ مکرم نے اس کا چہرہ اوپر کرتے سپاٹ لہجے میں پوچھا جس کی رو رو کر حالت خراب ہوگئی
