"Why are you asking..?" Maha did not like to be asked by Shah Zar in this way.

"کسی کو بھی بنا بتائے کیوں گئی تھی اندازہ ہے تمہیں وقت کا..؟" شاہ زر نے بازو سے پکڑ کر ماہا کو اپنے سامنے کیا۔

"یہ کیا بدتمیزی ہے..؟  چھوڑیں میرا بازو اور میں ماما کو بتا کر گئی تھی اور مجھے وقت کا اندازہ نہیں ہوسکا تھا.. " ماہا نے بازر چھڑاتے ہوئے کہا۔

"اس لیے میں بھی وجہ پوچھ رہا ہوں کہ ایسا کہاں بزی ہوگئی تھی کہ تمہیں وقت گزرنے کا دھیان ہی نہیں رہا اور یہ تک یاد نہیں رہا کہ آج مہندی کا فنکشن ہے سب انتظار کررہے ہوں گے تمہارا ماما کب سے پریشان ہیں تمہاری وجہ سے شاپنگ کا کہہ کر ڈرائیور کو گھر بھیج دیا اور تین گھنٹے ہونے کو آئے ہیں کچھ پتہ ہی نہیں ہے تمہارا .. کہاں تھی اتنی دیر تک..؟" شاہ زر نے ہر لفظ سختی بھرا تھا۔

"یہ آپ مجھ سے کس لہجے میں بات کررہے ہیں آپ کا کہنے کا مطلب کیا ہے..؟" ماہا کو اُسکے شکی انداز نے غصہ دلا دیا تھا۔

"آئندہ کسی کو بنا بتائے اور اکیلے آپ کہیں نہیں جائیں گی آپ کے لیے بہتر ہوگا.. " شاہ زر نے تنبیہ کرتے ہوئے کہا۔

"آپ کو کسی نے حق نہیں دیا کہ آپ اس لہجے میں مجھ سے بات کریں اور مجھے اس طرح سے پابند کریں ۔" ماہا شاہ زر کو یہ کہہ کر وہاں رُکی نہیں ۔
