جائش نے بےبسی سے اپنی معصوم بہن کی طرف دیکھا تھا اور ساتھ کھڑی اُس لڑکی کو جسے وہ دل و جان سے چاہتا تھا۔جو آنکھوں میں خوف لیے جائش کو دیکھ رہی تھی۔

میں ایسا نہیں کر سکتا کچھ دیر سوچنے کے بعد جائش نے پختہ لہجے میں کہا۔

جائش جو اپنے غصے کو کنٹرول کیے کھڑا تھا طیش میں فردان کی طرف بڑھا اور بنا کچھ کہے اس کے جبڑے پر مکا دے مارا۔

جو لڑکھڑاتا ہوا دو قدم پیچھے جا کھڑا ہوا اور سرد نظروں سے جائش کی طرف دیکھا۔

اس سے پہلے دونوں ایک دوسرے کی طرف بڑھتے دھڑام سے گرنے کی آواز پر جائش نے فوراً صلہ کی طرف دیکھا تھا۔جو زمین پر بےہوش ہوئے گر گئی تھی۔

صلہ … جائش بوکھلائے ہوئے اسے پکارتا صلہ کی طرف بھاگا تھا۔گرنے کی وجہ سے میز کا کونا اس کے ماتھے پر جا لگا جہاں سے خون نکلنے لگا تھا۔

صلہ کو دیکھتے فردان کا دل ایک پل کے لیے بےچین ہوا تھا۔

لیکن پھر اپنی بہن کا سوچتے وہ وہاں سے چلا گیا۔

جائش نے جلدی سے صلہ کی نبض چیک کی جو کافی سلو چل رہی تھی اس کا رنگ پیلا پڑ گیا تھا۔ہال میں موجود لوگ فردان کے جاتے ہی ایک دوسرے کے کان میں گھسے بات باتیں کرنے لگے تھے۔
