"Mmm......I......shouldn't..." she said fearfully

"Why is my child afraid of me, I won't harm you baby" Umar said a little back.

"Take this gift."

"N......no......no"

"Please don't take the baby," Umar said while holding the gift

"مم......مجھے......نہیں........چ.......چاہیے"اُس نے ڈرتے ہوئے کہا 

"میرا بچہ مجھ سے ڈر کیوں رہا ہے میں تمہیں کوئى نقصان نہیں پہچاؤں گا بےبى" عمر تھوڑا پیچھے ہوکر بولا 

"یہ گفٹ تو لو" 

"ن......نہ......نہیں" 

"پلیز بےبى لے لو نہ" عمر نے گفٹ تھماتے ہوئے کہا

"ن....نہیں......چاہیے.........مجھے.......کوئى......گفٹ" اُس نے ہاتھ پیچھے کیے تو گفٹ نیچے گر گیا۔

"کوئى بات نہیں بےبى" عمر نے ایک قدم آگے بڑھایا تو وہ دو قدم پیچھے ہوئى 

"کیا ہوا تم اتنا کیوں گھبرا رہى ہو" عمر نے اسے بازؤں سے تھام کر کہا 

عمر کى گرفت نرم تھى پر پھر بھی اُس کى آنکھوں سے آنسو بہہ رہے تھے ۔

" م.....مجھے......ڈر........لگ.......ر.......رہا......ہے" اُس نے کانپتے ہوئے کہا 

"کس سے" 

"آ.....آپ......سے"

"کیوں" 

".....آپ.....پلیز......میرے.......قریب........مت......آئیے"

"پر تمہارے قریب آنے کا حق تو صرف مجھے ہے اگر کوئى اور آئیگا تو جان سے جائیگا" 

وہ ڈر سے اور بھی زیادہ کانپ رہى تھى

"بےہوش نہ ہوجانا ڈر سے" عمر نے اس کا چہرا صاف کرتے ہوئے کہا 

"جاؤ ابھی پر واپس میرے پاس ہى آنا ہے ہمیشہ ہمیشہ کے لیے" عمر نے جانے کا کہا تو وہ ایسے غائب ہوگئى جیسے تھى ہى نہیں

عمر نے دوسرى سگریٹ لبوں سے لگائى۔

"میں کبھى تمہیں خود سے دور نہ کرتا پر ڈیڈ نے شرط رکھى کہ اگر محبت چاہتے ہو تو کچھ بن جاؤ اپنى پہچان بناؤ تو مجھے مجبورى میں شرط ماننى پڑى اور میرى قسمت تو دیکھو جب میں ایک پولیس آفیسر بن کے واپس آیا تو تم پاکستان چھوڑ کر چلى گئى تھى بہت کوشش کى تمہیں ڈھونڈنے کی پر تم نہیں ملى لیکن اب تم آگئى ہو تو دور نہیں جانے دونگا-

"تم مجھ سے ڈرتى بہت ہو ابھی میرى دیوانگی کی ایک جھلک  بھی نہیں دیکھى تم نے"عمر اپنى کلائى پر لکھے نام کو دیکھ کر بولا 

 اُس نے تھوڑى دیر میں ہى سگریٹ کى ڈھیر کر دى تھى ۔
