پہلے پہل تو اس نے اس بات پہ کوئی خاص دھیان نہیں دیا ... بس ہر جگہ ایک نظر کا حصار محسوس ہوتا تھا ... پھر اس نے سامنے آنا شروع کر دیا ...  جب بھی اس کی موجودگی کا احساس ہوتا ... وہ کہیں نہ کہیں آس پاس ہی ہوتا ... وہ ایک مخصوص پرفیوم لگاتا تھا ... جسکی خوشبو اس کی موجودگی کا پتہ دیتی تھی ...

بارش شروع ہو گئی تھی ... پتا نہیں یہ زری کہاں غائب تھی ...  اس نےچاروں طرف نظر گھما کے دیکھا ... تو  زری سامنے سے آتی دکھائی دی ... ہاتھ میں کھانے کی ٹرے ... تیز تیز قدم اٹھاتی ہوئی ...  آ کےدھپ سے کرسی پہ بیٹھی ...

So many questions were running in her mind... but there was no answer... she sat up alert... very slowly raised her eyes and looked in the direction where she realized he was sitting... And there he was...right in front of the eyes...at some distance...oblivious to the four quarters...absorbed in himself...mobile in one hand as usual...coffee mug in the other. ..seriously staring at the newspaper...same jeans and same dress shirt...

  He had never made her realize that he was behind her...never even looked up...never made any attempt to speak...nothing at all...for the past four months. She had a strong feeling that wherever she went, he was always there.

At first he didn't pay much attention to it...just felt the presence of a gaze everywhere...then he started coming forward...whenever he felt his presence.. .he would be around somewhere...he would wear a certain perfume...the smell of which would indicate his presence...
